My Story
Hi there, I’m Camino—a big, lovable ball of fluff looking for my foster or forever family! If you’re searching for a gentle, goofy, and loyal buddy who’s equal parts outdoor adventurer and couch companion, you’ve found your match.
I’m house-trained (always!), and I’ve got a special way of asking to go out—I do a little seal-like wiggle or head to the back door. I have a medium energy level, which means I’m up for long walks, car rides, or a good romp in the yard, but I’m also happy to hang out and relax. Walks with me are easy—I might get a little excited at first, but once we get going, I’m a great leash partner.
Some of my favorite things? Cool morning walks, lounging in the grass, car rides, and getting lots of attention from new friends. I’ll happily plop my big fluffy self right on top of you—I don’t always realize my size, but I promise it’s just my way of showing love. I also know my basics like sit, stay, and down.
I get along well with other dogs (I bounce like a bunny when I meet a new one!) and I’m friendly with people wherever I go. Kids and adults alike usually make me light up with joy, though I’d do best in a home with older kids.
A few quirks make me extra special:
-
I’m not really into dog beds—I’d rather chill on the couch or even the cool floor.
-
Big trucks are not my favorite. They’re loud, and I get jumpy around them.
-
I’ve got some skin sensitivities (definitely no chicken for me!) and sometimes need a little extra TLC with baths and ear cleanings, but regular care keeps me comfy.
-
I’m not much of a kisser, but I’ll lean on you with my whole fluffy weight and give you the best snuggles.
At the end of the day, I’m a friendly, playful, easy-going boy who loves people, loves being outside, and just wants a family to love me back. I promise to bring big smiles, fluffy hugs, and lots of heart to your home.
Could I be your guy?
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
