My Story
Hi, I’m Bo Peep! I may not herd sheep, but I sure know how to keep an eye on my people. I’m a smart, affectionate, and loyal Pyr who loves nothing more than being close to the person I trust. My foster momma says I make her smile every day with the way I prance on walks, greet her with joyful leaps, or place my head gently in her lap for love.
I’ve got all the classic Pyr traits—guardian instincts, a big heart, and a little goofy side too—but here’s the best part: I actually listen to commands! I know sit, stay, come, and up, and I’m wonderful on leash. Walks are my favorite, and I trot happily along, keeping a close watch for squirrels or birds. I’m house-trained and polite indoors – I don’t chew or get into trouble when you’re away.
I also share my home with a kitty friend, Maxine. At first, I thought pouncing might be fun, but Maxine quickly taught me that wasn’t the way to win her over. Now we’re good buddies—she teases me sometimes, and I absolutely love it.
When it’s time to relax, I enjoy napping inside or stretching out on the deck when it’s cool. I also love to gather all the toys from the basket, scatter them around me, play for a bit, and then fall asleep surrounded by them—it’s my own little treasure pile.
I’m not much of a counter-surfer (though one time I did almost snag a steak when no one was looking—oops!). Mostly, I’m content with my elk antlers, bones, and plenty of treats.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate Pyr with brains, heart, and a dash of silliness, I think we’d be perfect together. Could I be your girl?
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
