My Story
Hi there, I’m Sawyer!
Life’s been a bit of an adventure. I started off as a stray, but a kind family gave me a soft place to land before GPRA stepped in and found me a loving foster home. Now I’m learning all about the comforts of indoor life — and let me tell you, I’m a fan!
I’m a medium-energy, easygoing kind of guy who absolutely loves people and cuddles. I’m house-trained (yep, I even knock on the door when I need to go out — impressive, right?), and I get along great with kids and other polite pups. One thing though: no cats, please. We just don’t vibe.
Lately, I’ve been discovering all kinds of fun things. Toys? I love them! Every few hours, I’ll toss a ball around by myself and go get it — I know, I’m adorable. I’ve also become a big fan of peanut butter on a lick mat (highly recommend) and getting brushed feels amazing.
I sleep inside and want to be where the people are. I don’t like being left alone too long, and loud noises aren’t really my thing, but I handle thunderstorms just fine. I know how to sit and take treats gently.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy companion, I might just be your perfect match. Could we be forever?

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
