My Story
Hi there! I’m Maya, a lovable lady with a wagging tail and a heart full of sunshine! 🌞
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m a medium-energy gal, which means I’m always up for a fun romp in the park or a cozy snuggle on the couch. When my humans ask me to “sit” or “come”—I’m a pro at those tricks! And don’t worry, I’m always polite during mealtime; no food possessiveness here!
When it’s time to go outside, I’ve got a special way of asking—just a little tap with my paw! I’m a good listener and always know when it’s time for a potty break. And if you ever need to leave me alone, I’m cool with hanging out in the master bedroom, just don’t lock me up! Crates are a no-go for me; I prefer to roam freely in my cozy space.
I’m a little shy when meeting new furry friends, so I might bark a bit from a distance, but give me a moment, and I promise I’ll warm up. I absolutely adore cats and have shared my home with one before—no drama here, just friendship! Kids are my favorite, too; I’ve grown up around two wonderful ones (ages 13 and 18) and I’m always ready to play and cuddle.
I might bark at strangers at first, but once they show me some love, I’m all in for fun! Whether we’re going for a run or just lounging on the couch, I’m ready for whatever adventures come our way.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and loyal companion, I’m your girl! Let’s make some amazing memories together. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles to your home.
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
