Our Story
Hey there! We are the Augusta litter because we traveled all the way from Augusta, GA to GPRA. Now that we are in foster homes, we’re on the lookout for our FURever homes.
Our foster PYR’ents say we couldn’t be sweeter or cuddlier—just look at our adorable faces! Whether we’re snuggling up together or basking in the warmth of your lap, we love being close to our humans. We’ve got plenty of love to give, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
We get along great with other dogs, so if you have furry friends already, we’ll fit right in. We’re still learning to walk on the leash, but we promise we’re trying our best! Every little outing is an adventure, and we’re excited to explore the world with you. Plus, we’re getting the hang of potty training and are proud to say we’re learning to do our business outside!
As Great Pyrenees, we’ll grow up to be big, fluffy companions who will need plenty of space to roam and play. It’s important to do your research on our breed to understand our needs and characteristics. We’re known for being gentle giants, and we’re eager to protect and love our families.
If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly addition to your home who will grow into a loyal and loving companion, we might just be the pups for you!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
