Willow
I’m Willow, and I am an amazing pyr who can’t wait to meet you! While I’m not willowy, I’m a big pyr girl with good energy. In my new home, I need a canine friend who is a large dog like me to be my companion. I have so much fun with my pyr foster brother in the backyard. We love to play! There are so many cute pics of us together. I find cats to be winsome too if you happen to have a kitty cat in your home. After getting out my zoomies, I like to snuggle inside and be a big couch potato. Wherever my foster humans are, that’s where I want to be because I”m a velcro dog. I’ll even give my foster family hugs when they come home to say, “I miss you!” As I love my foster mama with my whole heart, I’m a good listener. She says that I am more love-motivated than food-motivated, so I’m eager to please. I’ve already learned “sit” and “off.” When I meet new people, I take a while to warm up, but once you win me over, I adore the attention. I even love to be brushed as it is a great time for us to bond! My foster mom also says that I walk well on the leash. True, sometimes, I pull towards an interesting smell, but what pyr doesn’t? Another way I’m wordly-wise is that I’m completely housetrained; I haven’t had an accident yet! My winning personality combined with having a doggy bff to hang with means I’m very well-behaved when left home alone. My foster family tells me I like to bark as well, so let me go ahead and say, “Woof, woof, woof, woof” which means, “please take me home!”
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
