Hi, I’m Nova, and my name means “new” which makes sense because I’m brand new on the site! I’m a smart and loving young pyr girl! I’m already house-trained and good on the leash. When I get to a new place, I will pull a bit to smell all the new smells, but once I’m familiar with the path, I walk at a good pace. Humans have also always been a part of my life, and I have always loved them! I’m good with my foster humans and with meeting new people too. Foster Mama has noticed that my favorite way to spend the day is chilling inside with the family. It’s because I crave attention! I’m very sweet, so it’s easy to give me lots of love. Kids are super fun to be around as well, and I do sometimes jump up in my enthusiasm to see them. I can be trained not to do that, for sure. Female pyrs have been my companions since I can remember. I lived with one for a while, and I live with one in my foster home. The only creatures I’m not good with are small animals like cats, chickens, or small dogs. We just don’t vibe like I do with other big dogs and people, of course!  I’ve heard that a supernova is a super bright explosion of a star, and I promise that my love will shine as bright for you!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
