Buddy Elf

Hi-ya! I’m Buddy Elf! While I’m as cheery as an elf, I’m not small like one. I’m a big pyr boy who needs a fenced in backyard where I can stretch my long legs! Also, I don’t need as much space as the elves have at the North Pole, but I do like the peaceful atmosphere of life outside of the city. Elves are also known for their camaraderie whether they’re singing together or making toys. And, guess what? I LOVE being around other dogs! We don’t sing carols or make rocking horses, but we do play a lot. I have good, puppy energy, so being with another large dog is a must for me; however, I get along best with beta dogs since I’m the alpha! Elves love people too; I’ve heard they make cookies or shoes for them. People are my favorite! Cuddling on the couch with my humans makes me so happy. You’ll see in a lot of my pictures that I love being on the couch. I’m as cozy on the couch as an elf nestled in a fuzzy slipper! My foster family says my loving nature is what makes me a very special boy. Belly rubs and getting brushed are like candy to me! Another thing that makes me as sweet as peppermint is I’m housetrained! Speaking of treats, I’m very treat-motivated which makes me easy to train. So far, I’ve learned “sit” and “down.” If you need to get an extra shot of cheer in the form of espresso, please take me along! I love to be where my people are, and I love car rides, not to mention pup cups. I’m as excited as an elf flying in Santa’s sleigh when we go for a ride! Going for walks is fun too. Like elves, I’m known for my friendly disposition. Because I want to be everyone’s buddy, I do sometimes pull hard towards people out of excitement. Foster Mama and I are working on it! We’re also working on getting me less scared of loud noises when we’re on our neighborhood strolls, so I’ll need someone who is committed to helping me overcome my fear of loud cars or high winds.
