Ambra
Hello, my pyr-loving darlings! I’m Ambra, and my name means precious jewel. My foster parents think I’m certainly special because of how sweet I am. My name also sort of sounds like amber, which is a type of jewel. I like it because it’s yellow like sunshine, and Foster Mama says I just love being outdoors! Fancy as my name sounds, I came from a farm, so the backyard is such a familiar and fun place to be. Sometimes, though, it’s nice to enjoy the fresh air by going for a walk in the neighborhood. My foster parents say that I’m still learning how to walk on a leash, but like a diamond in the rough, I’ll learn and then be brilliant at it! Ambra can also mean “Ruler of the Jewels” which is funny because I actually prefer following my doggy foster siblings around the house. I’m learning so much from them. They’re teaching me how to be a house dog, and I’m loving it! I’m an absolute gem of pyr, and I can wait to come home with you!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
