Great Pyrenees
Hey there. I am MAX. Max is short for Maximus, the Magnificent Great Pyrenees. Since I am still a young Pyr and in learning mode, to help me overcome some challenges, I will need an experienced Great Pyrenees owner. It will take a consistent and confident approach that includes lots of positive reinforcement to help me continue learning how to be a very good boy – even when I am stubborn, insist on doing things my way, or guard my food bowl.
Here is what GPRA volunteers say about me.
“Max is his FABULOUS self. He is INCREDIBLY loving and loves to be loved on.”
“Max is an absolute delight! He greeted me with a happy, wagging tail and lots of smiles.”
“Max knows the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘off’, and ‘down’ commands.
“Since Max shows some reactions that indicate he may have been hit as a young pup, Max will need understanding, time, space, and patience to build his confidence and trust.”
“Max walks beautifully on a leash.”
So, yes, I need someone who will invest time in helping me, and I will do my best to overcome and be your magnificent Max!
Pyrly yours, Max

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
