Great Pyrenees

Hi, Pyr Friends! I’m Bubba! It’s so good to meet y’all. I’m a lovable dog looking for my slice of the good life. If you got other pets in your home, I like female dogs and cats. We get along like pumpkins in the patch! People are friends of mine too. I do best with older kids, and I am sometimes a little scared of men but warm up to them soon enough. I’m as calm as a bale of hay most of the time, and I like to hang with my foster family in the house. Foster Mama says I’m more of the couch potato type, so we can snuggle up closer than a pile of fall leaves. My foster family also tells me I’m quite the talker, or barker, like most of my pyr brethren. I listen as keenly as a squirrel waiting for an acorn to fall, though, as long as there’s a treat involved. If you need to tell me to do something, just grab a training treat, and I’ll be all ears. When you wanna venture somewhere away from home, don’t worry because I am good in the car and on the leash. We can all stick our heads out the windows and enjoy the crisp, autumn breeze! Foster Mama says I’m such a good boy, and I need a strong owner to raise me up right with all the positive reinforcement and love in the world. It’s Fall, y’all, and I’m ready to come home with you!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
